Alex Guarnaschelli
Guarnaschelli is the child of the cookbook editor Maria Guarnaschelli and John Guarnaschelli. She has graduated from Barnard College in 1991 with an art history degree. She worked for the American Place restaurant for one year , earning the lowest wage in the year 1991 through the year 1991. Guarnaschelli's experience in the kitchen began after watching her mother test numerous recipes in her kitchen while editing books. Guarnaschelli was a chef under Larry Forgione (whose son is Iron Chef Marc Forgione), and after that, at numerous restaurants across France, New York and Los Angeles, including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Guarnaschelli also worked for Daniel Boulud's own restaurant, as well as Joachim Splichal's Patina before she became the executive chef at Butter. Prior to its closing, she was the chef-in-chief of The Darby. The Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli's debut book was released. "Old School Comfort Food The Way I Learned to Cook" combines autobiographical details as well as her most loved recipes from work that she has adapted to be suitable for the home.
