Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her character Bo from the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, as well as Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actress director producer playwright educator and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories are of attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mother perform. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials as an infant. The year 1997 was the time she received a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk made the move to Toronto to further her acting career in November 1999. She then, over the following decade relocated into Los Angeles California. She met her new spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training in Los Angeles in 2007. When she got engaged in 2008, they were married in the year 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on April 10, the couple renewed their vows, following Silk's decision to convert to Judaism. Silk got a baby that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th, 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's television work is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 Silk was a part of the Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during production of the season three finale and announced this to viewers in Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter, on June 20, 2013 that production was underway for Season 4. In June of 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the start of Production for Season 4 of the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top TV Couple of 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to an enormous online following on social networks.
